After two years of self-assessments, reading policies, examining curriculum and making a big move, the dance program in Texas Tech University’s Department of Theatre and Dance earned national accreditation, making Texas Tech the only school in the state in which all four arts programs are accredited.

Now dance teachers can strengthen their own teaching and learning skills and maintain certification with online dance education courses from the National Dance Education Organization. They can earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) that attest to professional development, or choose to complete the entire Certificate in Dance (CiD) program.
